ABOUT.
CR Packer was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She is an alumna of the University of British Columbia, from which she received a BFA in Creative Writing. She trained in playwriting, poetry, fiction, non fiction, and screenplay. Packer first became interested in writing at age six, when her father helped her write a diary entry about touching a lily pad at Van Dusen Gardens. Packer's plays have been performed in staged readings and productions under the auspices of the UBC Theatre, Equity in Theatre in partnership with Ruby Slippers Theatre and PGC, Twenty Something Theatre, and Upintheair Theatre's rEvolver Festival. Her short story 'Mrs. Lana Greer' was published in the Boulevard Literary Magazine's September 2016 issue.
Packer admires Ocean Vuong, Alan Bennett, Tess Gallagher, Dylan Thomas, George Elliott Clarke, Hannah Moskovitch, Thomas King, and Louise Rennison. Not an exhaustive list.
